Age of Conan came up with an outstanding and realistic combat system, much different from the other MMORPGs. To be part of any battle in this world of barbarians, all players must prepare themselves for the bloodiest clashes of arms ever seen the light in a game. However, regardless what your class is, a fierce Barbarian with brute melee force or Priest of Mitra with the power of holiness, your first enemy is the discouraging number of the 80 levels in this game. To burn these levels down quickly, I used an AoC leveling guide.

- If your toon has AoE spells and skills put them to use. Pulling a few mobs at the time will surely take you through the quests faster. However, have with you stamina and health potions, to heal yourself or run away if your enemies overwhelm you;
AoC Leveling Guide – A Few AoC Locations For AoE Grinding
1. My favourite grinding spot in Age of Conan is the Cannibal Cave, in Eiglophian Mountains. It’s situated a little bit to the East from Mountain Hunting Lodge, about in the middle of the zone. The mobs in this cave are levels 53-57, most of them are melee, very easy to kill, without too many special abilities.
2. Another great spot for area-of-effect grinding and farming as well, is at the East Ruins, in Keshatta. The mobs here are 74-76, spawning in pretty dense groups of 7-8. You can easily kill them if you come here with a 78, and you will get nice XP and loot.
I hope my information was good enough for any AoC player that is having trouble leveling their characters in this game. If not, I strongly recommend this AoC leveling guide. It’s designed for solo players and following its leveling path I took 3 characters to level 80 in the shortest time possible.

I don’t know about you, but rolling a new character in Warcraft is always something I do with mixed emotions.
Ok, the great thing is trying out a new class combination and anticipating the adventures ahead. However, I’m also aware that much of what I’m about to do I have done many (many) times in the past.
It’s fair to say that I continue to play, so the anticipation wins out over possibility of becoming a little jaded.
Then something else strikes me. As I’m rolling the character I remember just how limited the choices are for the appearance.
How dull and uninspired the preset character faces and styles are.
Humans in particular are a very weird looking bunch. The lack of real facial customization apart from the adornments of hair and piercing means they all end up looking pretty much the same. A look I would describe as “very 2005″.
There were good reasons for the paucity of detail in 2005. Computers were less able and the internet connection most people enjoyed was far slower, meaning that the time to load and cache a lot of different facial detail would have been a hurdle.
Now I can tell what some of you are saying “It’s all about the armour choices” Well to that I say “bleh”. One well specced Paladin looks much like another after a couple trips through Icecrown. “Same-old same-old”. Ok I understand that the clothes you wear con make a big difference, but that leads to everyone walking around Dalaran with their helmets on. Ok, I might be getting a little “RPG” at the moment, but then a little role play in a role playing game can’t be bad can it?
Here, in 2010 there are lots of MMORPG’s with far less financial clout that Blizzard, that produce games with massive amounts of customization. Champions Online, for all it’s (many) faults takes character customization to an insane degree, but this is one of its charms. You’ll rarely see two “generic” looking characters from one play session to the next.
Looking forward it is one feature I really would like to see implemented. Preferably sooner rather than later.
Sadly, having seen the trailers so far for Cataclysm, it isn’t something they are considering any time soon.

I’ve been playing World of Warcraft for quite a while and I know how boring leveling can be especially for Horde players, which usually aim for PvP. Personally, I’ve been working with a Horde leveling guide everytime I wanted to raise a toon, even if I only wanted a level 19 one for BGs because I prefer to do quests to level up. However some players like to boost their characters in instances, and here, I’m going to point out 3 excellent instances to level up a Horde, in Azeroth, Outland and Northrend.
1. The best low level instance to boost your Horde character is Ragefire Chasm. Since it’s placed in the heart of Orgrimmar it’s easy to find a booster or join other boosting groups. However before going in, you might want to have at least a few of the following quests: “Hidden Enemies”, “Returning the Lost Satchel” or “Slaying the Beast”.
2. Another good spot to level your Horde is Hellfire Ramparts. It’s situated in the entry zone of Burning Crusades, in the middle of Hellfire Peninsula. The mobs inside are level 59-61, most of them orcs, found in high numbers, grouped 3-6. The quests to complete inside are “Weaken the Ramparts” and “Nazan’s Riding Crop”.
3. The Nexus. This is the place to come at level 68-69 and level here up to level 72-73. If you have a tank friend to group with, you can use the WoW Dungeon Finder for an instant entry, and leveling will go fast, safe and smooth. Here are the quests that are affiliated to The Nexus, as this Horde leveling guide has shown me: “Quickening”, “Prisoner of War”, “Igasho the Older”, “Postponing the Inevitable” and “Have They No Shame?”.
An important thing to keep in mind if you want to level without questing, through instances.
